Well, I'm out of school having graduated this past May from Kennebec Valley Community College. There is a certain nostalgia in the air as I know students are scurrying about getting their schedules and books in anticipation of the new semester. Alumni. Already? They said it would go fast, but I remember those long nights working, and it wasn't always easy to stay awake.
Now I'm in search of that new career and in the mean time I'm enjoying selling books on eBay. It's likely that iPads and Nooks are behind the sudden influx of available stock! Like others, to me there is nothing like the feel of a book. Don't get me wrong, I love technology as much as the next person and have a slew of music related toys.
I also have a music project on deck and we're getting our set lists down as we bemoan the sticky weather. I don't envy the guitarists as they try to move their hands down those clammy guitar necks!
Speaking of books, I have discovered Og Mandino and have delved deeply into two of his books. I'm finding a whole new perspective on life and, putting it into practice.
